Introducing more than one hermit crab?

Post by obba714 » Tue Jul 08, 2014 2:24 pm

So, this question has probably been asked a million times before, but what if you are introducing more than one hermit crab to a tank? If you got one at a time and then kept slowly introducing them as you would with one, would it be too stressful on the crabs that came earlier? How would you recommend doing this?

@obba714, I'm not sure I fully understand your question but if your planning on introducing multiple hermitcrabs at once into the main enclosure it shouldn't be a problem as long as they have been iso'd for the four week iso period, the existing group in your main tank should have no problem with the newbies all being introduced at the same time.If all of the new crabs are not coming from the same enclosure at the same time then you'd need to iso them each in their own iso tank but other than that theres not much I can say.
