okay, so i have been told a while ago by someone on this site that playsand is better than calcium sand, so now my question is what store do i get it from besides home depot? also is it called playsand, or can it be called reptile sand or something like that? if so then it might be at petsmart, but i am not sure. but i won't get it from home depot, because i heard that that kind is bad for crabs.
experience comes from this: Harvey (tarantula), flanders (cat), 2 pp hermit crabs, (marshawn pinch, and richard shermit), smallstress house hamster(hamster), baron purplemoon (fish).

It should say on the bag somewhere play sand as in the sand you put in sand boxes for kids. Lowes carries it also some Wal-Marts carry it if getting it from a home improvement store such as Home Depot or Lowes it will probably be the Quikcrete brand. Just make sure its play sand and not for concrete. Make sure you try to get it from inside the store if its outside it gets exposed to everything meaning it could contain harmful bacteria and such. Whatever you get make sure it doesn't have any dyes or oily residue or any real funny smells for that matter. You can bake it to remove bacteria if you can only find it outside the store. Hope that helps.
