Hermitcrabs can't physically eat the pelleted food so its no good based on that fact alone in addition to the pesticides most commercial hermitcrab foods contain like ethoxyquin, copper sulfate, ferrous sulfate, bha and bht all are used as or in industrial grade pesticides and can not discriminate between the insects they are meant to kill and the crabs they are being fed to.Check the ingredients list on any commercial hermitcrab foods you may have and if any of the above mentioned toxins are listed then those foods need to be tossed in favor of something else. The mineral blocks pose the same issue the dyes that are often used to color these blocks are not hermitcrab safe and they often contain some of the same toxins as was mentioned above so the ingredients lists need to be checked for them before buying this kind of product.

I got ones once in the early yrs, my crabs pooped yellow and pink! Go to bird section and buy them cuttle bone, it's like a 1$. Better for them and crab approved

Please ditch those mineral blocks!! It contains chemicals that are toxic and can slowly kill the crabs. The hermit crab patch has some good mineral powder and other calcium sources that don't have the toxic additives .. Also get some egg shells and put it in the tank . Your crabs will like it.
