I woke up this morning and went to my 20L to refill the crabs' water bowl when I saw House hanging all the way out of his shell and laying out in the sand. His little back was painted yellow, like the awful color of his painted shell, and I'm guessing he died trying to escape the thing. His big pincher was lying in the sand under him, but I really didn't want to investigate the scene too closely because it was so hard to see him like that. He lived with me for 2 months, and will be dearly missed. He was a perfectly healthy PP who had been showing signs of molting... God, this is really devastating. I really loved the little guy. : (RIP House.
