hi all- i just got home from work to find that Gumbo appears to be dead. I was dogsitting for a friend the past few days, & he seemed like he wanted to molt, so i left him be. i know he wasnt bothered by any other crabs- red beans just sucessfully molted, dijon is underground, & uk2 barely comes out of the hermie hut. i am in tears- i had him for 3 yrs & 3 mos. i really wanted him to be one like carol's, that i had for 20something years. my only good thought is that he is with his friend beignet, & all my other crabs who left before him- & yours too. i am just most attached to him & red beans. i have 3 left, depending on how dijon is doing- & i dont know if i am going to get others to replace them. thanks for listening. rip my gumby friend.
