For all those with legless crabs
A few months ago, I disturbed Jason while he was molting (under the food dish...). He left his shell and dropped both pinchers and two legs, but was still very active. He went into a new shell, ate from my finger and after two weeks he changed into another shell and was climbing, digging, eating like a healthy crab. A while after that he molted again and for some reason came back with no shell and only one leg left But he went back into a ligthweight shell again and explored everything with his feelers, so I ISO'd him in a small container inside the main crabitat. He gets whatever the others crabs eat in a smaller dish and there's nothing left the next morning. Every two days I offer him salt and fresh water and squirt a 1:1 mixture of both into his shell once every week. Two days ago I saw his first gel leg So don't give up on those leg-dropping crabs, they have a chance of living through this! Here's Jason with his first gel leg: Here's Jason with the grown gel leg.The second gel leg.Eating with only one limb.Smaller than normal limbs after the first molt.Ready to go into the crabitat again.

Here's the latest update on Jason:he's eating an drinking and really loves the crab food from the Epicurean Hermit, he ate two dishes of that in two days The first gel leg grew about three times in size and he has grown one more on the same side and one on the other side.

Here's Jason with his regrown legs. He went back into the main tank and I think he dug down to molt a while ago since I haven't seen him for three weeks or so.
