Hello! (I hope I'm doing this right) I just found this website today and wanted to join. I first wanted a hermit crab when I saw them at a souvenir type place in south Florida, but seeing the wire cages they were put in I knew something was wrong with that. Since then I have been determined to learn what crabs really need to be healthy and happy. Despite that I have made mistakes, one's I have lost crabs to. But I'm determined to learn from them and never make the same mistake twice. I currently have three small purple pinchers Skittles, Jellybean, and Smore in a 10 gallon crabitat (with 5-8 inches of a sand ecoearth mix.) Sorry for making this so long! And this should be a link to pictures of them if I did it right. http://s46.photobucket.com/use...ibrary/Ninja%20Crabs

Welcome! I also started crabbing around 2012. Let me tell you now, it's an addiction. Started with a 20 gallon, now have upgraded to a 75.

Thanks! And it definitely is an addiction. I really want to be able to have a tank that big one day. Hopefully I'll at least be able to get a 29 gallon sometime soon. It's nice being able to connect with people with the same interests, most of my family thinks hermit crabs are gross... But, I've already corrupted my one and a half year old nephew's brain. He loves my hermit crabs so much! xD
