Thanks LHC!

I haven't posted here in almost two years, but I am back now just to say thanks to LHC! This is the first forum I joined in search of information when I got my first crab. I didn't know what I was getting into back then, and LHC helped set me in the right direction This was one of my posts from back when I was still figuring things out, if anyone is interested in seeing how clueless I was then haha http://landhermitcrabs.com/eve...654020 ... 20738Since then, I have done some major upgrades for my crabs, and I have found a wonderful group of crab owners on facebook. I spend a lot of my time in the group and have actually become an admin in the group. I still have all of the crabs mentioned in that post, though there have been some name changes. I have 10 PP's, named Carol, Michonne, Gus, Juliet, Spencer, Cas, Meg, Rory, Oswin, and Benedict. Most of them were rescues (Benedict was recently rescued from a fish bowl on a teacher's desk!) I'm hoping to be able to find some more time to be able to come back here and help out occasionally

@Kirrie, Your welcome its what we were founded for over ten years ago and its nice to see those that we've helped and had a positive impact on come back and let us know how much we helped them.I don't have a Face-Book account just haven't had the urge to deal with all the mess that comes with such social media sites.lolWe had a FB group for LHC.com at one time but I don't know if its still going or not.I've never been real happy with the way our host contacts us to let us know if they are planning any kind of maintenance that would have our site down temporarily which has happened a few times over the years and we had no prior warning or knowledge because the host only put word out on their FB page and never even bothered to contact us directly..I could definitely use some assistance with answering questions promptly and with due courtesy so whatever help you can give will be very much appreciated.

I'm in quite a few different hermit crab groups on facebook and I'm not sure that I've seen any connected to this forum, so it may not exist anymore. As far as dealing with the social media mess, I generally just avoid it lol I spend all of my time in my aquarium or crab groups, so I use it like it's a big collection of forums. I would be glad to help in any way that I can. I have access to a lot of different resources now, mostly from the different people I've met through facebook, and I've even written my own care guide featuring purple pinchers.

@Kirrie, hmm... well that would make sense that our LHC face book community wouldn't be there anymore as it was started around the time face book came into existence and was comprised mostly of what were then our admin staff here, the then owner of LHC.com and a few of our basic members. As we don't have most of the admin from back then and the previous owner who has since sold LHC.com to the new owner JMT, I wouldn't think that the FB group would even still be talking with each other because the whole reason the previous admin staff left was due to life and family issues, sometimes life just tends to get in the way.

I noticed we need admin permission to post in the Links category. I just want to share some links to a few different crab shops that I use. I'm not sure anyone else here knows about them and they are great places to shop in my opinion. Would that be ok?

You can post the links and I'll have to check them out and if I see that they are okay I'll keep them but if I see anything that doesn't follow our Terms of Use or Forum use Policies I'll have to remove them.
