HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I have little, looks like black ants in our habitat. Any help as to why or how to rid of these little pests. I have already changed out the entire tank with everything BRAND new inside . I just don't know what's up. Please any help would be grateful as I can not stand ants or any type of bug. Thank you.

Ants are probably getting in from somewhere else. I'd set some ant traps around the floor near the tank.As for bugs, once you have a well established crabitat, it's a fact of life there'll be bugs in there. Nearly all of them are benign, it's just part of the ecosystem. They eat up old food and crab-poo and help keep things clean and fresh.

And some of the bugs if the crabs can catch them they will eat them.
