Question about nuts

Post by Vidikron » Wed Apr 13, 2016 3:00 pm

I just acquired some hermit crabs and have been reading up on their care. I've read that nuts are a popular food and that they should be unsalted. However, at the moment I don't have any unsalted nuts, but I do have a some standard salted mixed nuts. If I rinse those well with water would they be acceptable or should I just not risk it and wait until I buy some unsalted nuts?

Thanks!

If it was my decision to make for my crabs, I would wait until I had unsalted nuts.

Rinsing off the salt is a good idea, but I might skip that if you can offer some good quality peanut butter.
