Products you can't live without
Seachem prime has been the best fish product purchase i have made thus far. It has made my life a lot easier. Definitely worth the seven dollars
Heb brand fried whole foods section --- Texas only store. Despite their price, their dried fruits and vegetables are the most pure on the market, in comparison with other large named brands.
Chia seeds are amazing and cheap. I literally just put them into the tank, sprinkler it across the substrate. It grows quickly ave the crabs seem to love them!
Grow your own pet hair! Cost me a dollar at WalMart. It grew within days! It thrives in minimal light, but you have to trim or it will grow like crazy. It adds some life to my crabs tank. But they don't eat it.
Please share some things you have purchased that you just absolutely love!

My guys don't seem as enthused over shrimp as you'd think. They really like bloodworms though ^•^
Laser pointers are amazing too. I was playing with the dog and fish at the same time

Well its more for the crabs, but their humidifier and their UVB bulb... They more active when they are on and they also help maintain steady conditions.

Thanks wode. What brand humidifier? I was about to make my own, but decided instead of giving the crabs the air pump and stone, I upsized my beta tank

Ultratherm UTH! Seriously. I wish I switched to one sooner. It's been awesome.
Definitely the humidifier too. I use this one - nozzle removed and piped in with a leftover bit of pond hose.
I've been using both of these for over a year and it's really taken a lot of stress and worry away from my crabbing experience.
I've also been using this gauge for a few months now and loving it.
I did just fine before I had these products but they just make things so much easier.

Re: Products you can't live without
Probably don't have it for sale in the US, its some "cheapo" $70 humidifier (normally priced around $99)... I pretty sure it doesn't have a brand name. Got it from ebay... Works a charm and has a 1 1/2 gallon tank, so it last 4 days when its on 24/7... Need to get a timer for the thing, its a little too humid with it on.pandaincognito wrote:Thanks wode. Theyre so expensive, but they dont die on you. Thats my fear with the DIY humidifiers. Im too afraid they'd crap out on me after couple of monthsaussieJJDude wrote:Probably don't have it for sale in the US, its some "cheapo" $70 humidifier (normally priced around $99)... Wodesorel is the owner/operator of Hermit Crab Garden. She has an ad in the classifieds section here. My crabs love all of her stuff. She grows organic flowers, veggies and more and makes great mixes.Giner13 wrote:Where do you get those?soilentgringa wrote:Hermit Crab Garden cookies. My crabs fight over them.
