Corner guard question

When using silicone adhesive to attach corner guard to empty tank, how do you make sure it doesn't slide around while drying? Painters tape?

Yes, we used masking tape. I think I saw it in one of @marandashermies build pics.

Thanks!! Hoping to pick up my corner guards this week and try drilling holes (my first time :shock: ) to put into my upgrade 55g.

Yes, I used painters tape and let them dry 2-3 days!
