Mystery crab

This morning I discovered a 9th hermit crab in my crabitat, I've had most of these crabs for years so it's not like I just lost track of one. The crab is missing both claws and only has two and a half legs. Two days ago I bought and added a zoomed hermit crab shell (the ones they sell packaged) to my crabitiat and just last night I noticed one of my larger crabs trying it out for the first time. The crab I discovered judging by the width of his body was a medium to large size crab, but now looks much smaller without his claws or legs so it is possible he was hiding down in that shell. I did rinse the shell out before I put it in but not too throughly, just enough to get any dirt that might have been on it out.

Is it getting around alright or do you feel that iso'ing is in order until he molts and regrows those limbs?
