I just went to my petco today to find a glass lid for my tank to help with the humidity. I think there were a bunch of ecuadorian hermit crabs there but I was not sure. I then proceeded to buy three . I am hoping they are Ecuadorian's (which I am almost positive that they are) but I just wanted to ask you guys. Sorry for the bad picture and I would have more but they were just too fast to get a non blurry photo on my phone lol. If any one wants to see more photos I will try to get some tomorrow when it is not so dark. Anyway thanks for viewing!

This is an E. They need deep substrate and a lot of room to dig. I personally would not have any in a tank smaller than 40 gallons.
They modify their shells and require oval shaped openings. They are very picky about shells.
They can become aggressive and some members have experienced cannibalism at the hands of their E's. Make sure they have a varied diet with plenty of protein and calcium sources.

Yes I know. I have them in a 40 gallon breeder at the moment. Soon I think i'm going to upgrade to a bigger tank as well.
