GNATS!!
I put some shrimp in the crabitat last night and today as I was cleaning it out, I noticed some gnats flying around. I left the lid open for a few minutes and didn't see any flying around, but how do I absolutely get rid of them? The hermies will be on their own Saturday and Sunday and I don't want to come back to an infestation on Monday...

Re: GNATS!!
Since I removed the old shrimp, I haven't seen anything flying for a few hours.
Here's hoping for the best over the weekend

Take apple cider vinegar in a small cup and add a drop of dish soap, add Saranwrap over top, poke little holes, set above the tank. They will be attracted, get trapped, and die

Also the best offense is a good defense! Make sure garage is out regularly and it helps if you put food in Wal-Mart plastic bags an tie them up, keep sinks clean and clean from dirty dishes. Watch out for inside plants they love to be in those to. Don't let food sit around and rot on counters..
