Nora has decided that she's just going to eat the chia garden before it sprouts. Oh, and ignore the great dinner I put out for them. Typical. My crabs are sassy

Nora is adorable and looking like "yeah, I'm eating the chia, what about it?!" Peanut is just silly! He is just all sorts of trickster :D Our Mike has been hanging out in the shell shack off and on for the past 2 nights. He has yet to change shells after coming up from his 11.5 week long molt. I have a huge selection of shells in the shack but was second guessing myself thinking maybe I don't have the right size for him. He is our diurnal crab and I can usually see him occasionally throughout the day wandering the tank. Well, all day today I have tried to find him to measure his shell and he has been running away from me. It was like trying to get a toddler dressed :hlol: And, no, I was not successful capturing him to measure his shell. Tomorrow will be another day. Wish me luck!

11.5 weeks?! Gosh my nerves have been on edge lately cause mine should all start popping up one by one soon. This has calmed me a little!

Honestly, the day Mike popped up from his molt, it was a glorious day for us!! I had started to think maybe he didn't make it. Also he is one of my favs since he's diurnal :) BTW, I finally caught the little booger this morning to re-measure his shell. Turns out he'a just being picking about his outfits!

My small purple pincer likes to take refuge in this large shell. I think it is so cute that when Na'meen comes up to the surface, she hangs out here because she fits perfectly. I saw her in the food bowl eating coconuts and mealworms at 7 this morning, then she curled up to rest in the unoccupied shell.

This is my PP Janet, her middle name is Houdini and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't need more explanation than the picture above Image She escaped once for a week and I thought she was underground but I dug around and she wasn't in the tank... I looked under my nightstand and, lo and behold, there she was, still alive somehow Image Escaping is like a game for her!
