How often do you change your water?

Post by Hollym2247 » Sun Sep 18, 2016 9:05 am

Since I got my humidity right and stable, there's no evaporation. Either 3/4 of my crabs are molting, or they just don't go in the pools. I have deep ceramic crocks with river stones and needlepoint card ramps. There is almost never sand, debris or poop in the water.

I change mine every Monday and Thursday.
Just keep in mind that if your pools don't have movement in them that it's easier for ammonia to build up.

I change mine once a week unless they get really dirty, then I change them twice. I also top them off in between changes. My pool are pretty big, they hold a quart of water even with rocks and other "escape" decor inside them.

I use quart takeout containers for pools, and change them weekly.
Currently the caretaker for:
Six hermies in 37G bow front, and two more in a ten-gallon tank.

I build websites, and blog about ebooks.

I change mine every other day because they get pretty dirty. I don't have bubblers either so the water doesn't have any movement to it so if it sits too long it can get gross. Picky butts also prefer it fresh, of course ;)
