Mr Moss Pit
Harry (Houdini) has spent every day this week up high in the moss pit. He comes down every night around 9:30 and then by the time I wake up, he's back in there! I'm thinking I need a deeper pit as he's already managed to knock out a bunch of moss daily.

I don't blame him. With a moss pit like that, I'd be in there every day too!

Thanks! My goal has kind of been to make it look a bit like a fairy garden. I use sphagnum (not peat) moss.Kermie16 wrote:Definitely the King of the pit!! Lol! I love all the greenery!!! What kind of moss is it?
Re: Mr Moss Pit
I use sphagnum moss as well but mine is all brown and stringy. Must be a different brand that's yours! I will need to look for some of the one you have. Beautiful! Love the fairy garden theme!
Re: Mr Moss Pit

I read on the guidelines here that Spanish moss is good, I just ordered some from fosterandsmith so I hope soKermie16 wrote:I use sphagnum moss as well but mine is all brown and stringy. Re: Mr Moss Pit
I was wrong. It's Hypnum moss - from a local store, so no specific brand but I was assured it's pesticide-free.Kermie16 wrote:Definitely the King of the pit!! Lol! I love all the greenery!!! What kind of moss is it?

It is an Ionantha that I added to an order of shells from Richard's Seashells. They're only $1.25 and the crabbies certainly love munching on it.TyCoz wrote:I love that air plant! Do you know the species by any chance?
