Ive found great brushes like that for cleaning bird and hamster cages. They were cheaper than ones for bathrooms too!

Yep!! I think I paid a max of $3 for mine:) Works beautifully and I just rinse and air dry it when done!

No I was seriously wanting to know. I have to clean each shell in my bowls one by one, and was hoping they had a quicker method for cleaning

Will you share your technique? What water do you use, and how do you clean it? Since I added the bubblers, I only have to clean them once a week but it's still tedious work and I now only put one big shell in the fw and 2 abalones in the sw cuz I was tired of cleaning so many!

I just rinse in hot tap water and give a good scrub with my brush, then rinse both out with dechlorinated water I have on hand at all times in gallon jugs, then fill 1 with dechlorinated water and other with MSW. All of the shells and river rocks are siliconed in so I don't have to take everything out. Before I made the siliconed pools, I would just dump everything into my sink and clean with hot water then dump them back into the pools and rinse everything with dechlorinated water. Depending on how big ur rocks/shells etc are, I know some have used little plastic baskets to use as strainers so then u don't have to pick up every little piece from the sink/bucket and put it back in:)

I didnt read this whole thread but my pools have lasted me over 3 years. I took two round glass bowls and got some rocks and siliconed the rocks to the bowls. They are big enough for even my extra large crab to dunk (even though he never does) and the Es can swim. The rocks let them climb out easy. Since they are medium sized bowls i can still take them out easy to clean but i dont have to do it super often.
