Okay apparently, according to the hubs and offspring, I have some land snail shells that Stubborn has "played" with but he never stays. One thought is that from what I can see is his shell is so brown and all of mine are tan. I'm researching different types in hopes of losing that ugly painted shell. It's flaking paint.

Re: My Dudes
Oh and I just realized looking back at the pics that No. 2 regrew his missing 2 back legs. I looked at old pics from when we got them and remembered that his name was No. 2 bc of his missing limbs not because he's the second largest! Yeah [VICTORY HAND] for No. 2!!

Re: My Dudes
Are they the right size for him would be the first question. Also to maybe entice him more would be to give the shells a dip in the SW pool and see if that helps. I remember another HCA member mentioning that on another post:)

Re: My Dudes
Bathing crabs is not recommended or necessary. Provide them with deep pools so they can submerge as they want.

Re: My Dudes
We call it bath time but in reality we moisten the tub with salt water creating a small pool and interact with them. Giving them treats and letting them crawl around. I know lots of experts say to leave them be in their cage and we do 97% of the time. (not saying we know better then experts just stating that we do know what is suggested) Honestly, we started interacting with them before we learned not to. It's hard to stop when my dudes greet me when I feed and water them. Often climbing onto my hand and looking for treats. I know its not recommended overall. I am aware of that.
