it's hard to see but my Eccie's are both in painted shells and queen bee my biggest has a painted shell with a raised up painted heart on it it it looks as tho it's been Bing pinched at or scratched by my other crabs. and it's starting to bubble up under the paint. what can I do to encourage her to Chang shells??

The heat and humidity will cause the paint to come off, and the crabs will pick at it too. The only thing you really can do is provide a lot of shells that e's like. One thing that I have found works at getting lots of shoppers in the shell shop is boiling shells in dechlorinated marine salt water (which can dull shells), or boiling them in dechlorinated fresh water and then doing a dechlorinated marine salt water dip. :)

I'll try dipping them in the salt bath thanks. I have 13 shells that are unused in the tank right now. I'm looking for better Eccie's shells.
