Mites or baby isopods
I have white dwarf isopods. I went to dump the food today and found these guys running all over the food bowl. They are so small i had to zoom in as far as my phone could to get this picture. Are these food mites or are they baby isopods?

Ok. I'm pretty certain they are baby isopods. New question. How do i get them out of the food bowl so i can change the food?

I would dump the food onto the substrate and then pick it up later after the isopods have scattered.

Ok. I don't know why I didn't think of that. It's not like I fed them powdered food last time.

It worked. The isopods fell with the food.

Thanks. I thought they had all died because I hadn't seen any basically since I put them in but about a week ago I guess I lifted the fold bowl and they were just running around. Then today I went to change the food and all these babies were running around inside it.

Mine hide in and under the food bowls too. They also hide under the water pools. Most of the time they are about an inch under the sub.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure when I go to clean the water bowls tomorrow that there are going to be a whole bunch under the bowls
