Rubber safe for crabs?
Rubber safe for crabs?
Thinking of making a tunnel that goes down to a underground cave this weekend [the cave would be a very large glass jar]. I was thinking of using those rubber drains that hook to the down spout of house gutters and lay on the ground. So it would be strong but flexible. I know paints are bad for hermit crabs and some woods but anyone know about rubber?

Do you mean the hard plastic drains? I think that would be fine. Just rinse it off with dechlorinated water and let it air dry before placing it in your crabitat. (As long as it doesn't have any odors to it)

Yes maybe they are plastic. I have seen some kind of rubber ones too though. Thanks.
