How deep is the substrate? And what is the footprint of the tank? Is it the same as a 29?

Thanks! And I was either thinking of doing that or getting a long skinny one I saw at the store and putting it on the back wall so I can use the side wall for the hamster wheel. We'll have to wait and see I suppose

11", and yes, the footprint of the tank is 12.5" by 30", the same footprint as a 20 long and a 29 gallon.

Awesome. Maybe I can get me one of them for more substrate depth. It will fit right where I have my 29

Fishnet came in the mail this week, just need to go get command hooks so I can hang it. And I'll probably pick up the bigger shower caddy for the moss pit too. I have an idea of how it's going to look when I'm finished, but I'll have to draw that out when I can.

I saw someone on another post mention a fake plant they're using and may get that but I'm not decided yet, plus I plan on getting some choya for other ways to the shower caddies. I want to find somewhere that sells chia and flax seeds that actually grow and sprout some of those in a few areas (the chia seeds I've been trying are duds, maybe I need to look in the garden area?) I'm interested in putting in either some barnacles or sea urchins too. This is their home for the rest of my high school experience, so I want to make it the best.

On another note, I seem to be having some issues with my hand. I do a lot of typing, note taking/writing, playing flute, etc. every day. It started hurting really bad after I did all of the sand and EE mixing. My parents are saying that it's likely I have carpal tunnel, since it's been going on since Monday. I started sleeping with a wrist/hand brace last night, and if it still keeps hurting when I do my regular everyday things next week I might ask to go to the doctor. I hope this won't affect things too much.

I purchased my chia seeds at the health food store. I'm sitting outside right now, but I think the brand was called Earthy Choice. I know Publix carries the brand too, it's organic, and the same brand has my red quinoa seeds. :) cool on the net! Cholla is always fun to look for Image. Sorry about your hand! Carpal tunnel is painful! Rest those wrists!

This week has been a mess. Sunday my dog had a stroke (we didn't know what was wrong, he wouldn't bend his legs when he walked, fell over a lot, and was panting) then Monday he was taken to a vet where he died. Parents are looking at potentially getting another puppy because the house feels "uneven" without three dogs. Last week my sibling got a betta fish named Stinky, and now my youngest sister wants a betta too.

On another note, we're going to the store tonight. So I can grab command hooks (I need some not just for the crabs but for my room too lol) and the shower caddy I've been looking at. Then I can put in the new moss pit and cut the fish net around my shell shops to hang it up. Do you guys think I should leave it hanging or stretch out both ends so it's tight?

Also - lots of shell changing at the moment! They've all been changing into random ones and then change back but somehow I've kept track. Dusty moved into a pearl turbo, then Edd took his old shell. Then Momo took Edd's old shell. I watched Edd change - huge molt sac! It looked like a bubble. I also snuck a glance at Momo who also had a molt sac, but a lot smaller, which makes sense granted how much smaller she is. Enoch went underground the first day in the 37 gallon so who knows when I'll see him again. :D

So sorry to hear about your dog PinchersAndShells! A new puppy will never replace the dog that you lost. They are a lot of work too. (They are cute though :) )

Betta fish are fun. My son has a Koi Betta. It is really cool. Lots of personality.

Lots going on with your crabbies! As far as your fish net, I personally like it kind of loose, but that's me. Exciting about the shell changes and the molt sacs! :)

Sorry for the loss of your dog ... dogs are the best.

I found that when ever I move my crabs, they suddenly want to try on all the shells. .. it's as if they don't realize that they're all the same shells they had before. It's cool that you got to see molt sacs, I haven't seen that yet.

Can't wait for more pics!

We ended up getting the puppy. He's a labradoodle and his name is Gus. I will miss our old dog but he's not in pain now so that's good. Now we have an irish wolfhound, a labradoodle, and a pit/lab mix.

On another note - new decor!

Dusty has been chilling out in the moss pit all day. Sorry about the unappealing mess that is their food right now. What’s in the bowl is from two days ago, the cuttlebone just hangs out in there, and I picked up some mussels from the store the other day. They didn’t seem interested so I’m wondering if I mush them they’ll be more interested.
