Re: Building a Crabby Paradise
I'd recommend keeping the waterfall in a tupperware full of gravel or whatever you'd like. Other members have stated that they're notorious for leaking and flooding the sand, or sand getting clogged in it.

ah yes! Excellent advice. Idk. I do plan on Tupperware. Maybe make an attached crabby exit with siliconed down pebbles. Idk if that would prevent a flood though. I do plan on installing a false bottom. I don't know much about them though. How to prevent the sand from just syphoning through? Any ideas or other recourses to look at? I understand the pcv pipe and mesh but don't know if that's enough.PinchersAndShells wrote:I'd recommend keeping the waterfall in a tupperware full of gravel or whatever you'd like. People use weed blocker for the mesh I believe. Just be careful, there have been crabbers who had exceptionally stubborn crabs who got through their false bottoms. I don't have much time to elaborate right now, but trying a search through the archives as well- there's lots of good info in there from years back.

Thank you so much! Right?! I didn't pay any attention to looking at the measurements I just bought the biggest one. And thanks for the link. I plan on putting it to good use.GotButterflies wrote:How exciting on all of your purchases! Those uth's are HUGE!! Your tattoos are very pretty! I can't wait to see how you transform the bookshelf! Not with these shelves. The top most shelf will be for books. The bottom shelf I am putting a door on to hide a water pump my air pumps and food etc. I've removed the middle shelf since this pic and have moved the top most up more and the bottom shelf down more so the middle area is huge. Narrower than their original tank but much much taller. They will have levels inside the case.Hermiearth wrote:Wait so it is going to be Muriel's levels?
