Most inexpensive DIYs?

I wasn't sure if this belonged in the DIY thread, as I wasn't posting actual instructions... Some things I'm curious about...

1. I think some insulation might help my current 50gal breeder tank - what's the easiest and cheapest safe way to insulate? Tin foil?

2. In search of your favorite inexpensive DIY crabby climbs and hideys! I'm prepping what someone here said is a 49gal breeder tank, to move out 3 Es into (and maybe eventually get a 4th cuz I hate off numbers.) I need awesome ideas.

3. I'm thinking of turning my ten gallon into a rolly polly habitat, maybe get them breeding to stock up our crabitats with them. In Nebraska, our native species is Armadilium, so any tips or tricks for raising/breeding wild caught isopods would be awesome. (Last time we had rolly pollies they kept drowning themselves in the water pools. Any way to prevent that?)

D- layers of cardboard and tinfoil work well. Most use Reflectix from Lowe's or home depot.

D- you have a 40 Breeder (36x18x16).

Edit: you can also get some vines, fish net, and cholla wood

D- I have porcellionides (powder blues). I have mine in a 56qt tote with 2 inch of EE, leaf litter on top, a moss pitt in the corner, and a few oak log halves for hides.... I'll mist it everyday for water source (no water dishes) and throw in scraps from my crabitats for food. Here a pic of my 20L - I transferred everything over to tote and made this tank a guppy tank.

Isopods will definitely drown if just given a water bowl. Mine use the craft mesh that I put on my water bowls for the crabs. Misting is the best, but please remember that they also have modified gills like the hermit crabs, so you need to use the dechlorinated water for them too.
