I've got 3 straws. All have molted successfully with me. All have very different personalities. My favorite of the bunch is under for a molt right now.

OMG YESSS MOREEEE soooo cute! :cloud9:

Do the conditions of your tank have to be rigorously 80/80 for those guys? Are they sensitive to changes?

I let my temps drop at night as it tends to do this in wild. 80 for low and 86 for high. My humidity stays above 82%. They're housed in same tank as PPs.

I remember when I had two massive straws, they were my all time favourites and thrived for almost three years when they died of bad molts, I am going to upgrade my tank soon to a 110 gallon add deep pools , tons of substrate and get some large ones from a reptile show

Wish I could answer that question better! I adopted him Mar. 18 and he went down the 21st. Haven't seen him since. Previous owner said he was in dire need of a molt. It's been almost 3 weeks now so I'm assuming that's what he's doing.

But from those three days and what previous owner said he's very chill. He stays out in the opening, never hides, and is very active at night. He loves the food dish (again prob because preparing for molt)... I've never seen him hide other than going down for this molt. He eats a basic diet just like my other hermies... I hope that answered your questions!
