Last time I was active, I hadn't heard of anyone successfully breeding hermits. This is so cool! They're so adorable. Who else has bred them in captivity? Has there been a lot? It's so nice to see successful stories like yours!

Hi Kuda, there are a few of us now. Natalie Van Amstel has had 4 successes with Aussies, I was unsuccessful on my first attempt but this is my second again with Aussies. Curlz has had a number of successes with a variety of species and Naddalie ?spelling has had success as well. I think they are also in Germany where Curlz is. I know there are a couple more but can't recall names

This shell with the food in it is the same one with just one crab nearly filling it up today.

Update, my little hermies seemed to be starting to get a bit aggressive towards each other in the transition tank over the last couple of weeks. SO I have tiny crab proofed (I HOPE) my larger tank and moved 9 of them over yesterday morning. Then late last night I found a 10th baby in the transition tank so that's now 10 in total. I hadn't seen 10 for many weeks and had thought I was down to 8. I am really excited about finding the 10.

They are getting so big now. I am surprised to be seeing them quite readily in the big tat. I thought I'd loose them in the vegetation and woodwork.

Such a cool sight to see.
Will they be eventually moving into a tank with others?
