Ill replace it with a glass one. What about plexi glass and silicone makes them not get along?

And thanks!

Even if you replace it with glass, the silicone doesn't bond well to the plastic. It's more the plastics and plexiglass having a slick surface, so the silicone doesn't latch onto it well. Substitute it with weld-on for example, which actually melts the plastic, and then it may hold.

Sanding may work longer, but imo will still leak.... better to be safe rather than sorry

Plastic canvas sometimes called mesh... You find it in the craft section of Wal-Mart. Probably Michael's and hobby lobby too!

Walmart sells them in packs. Michaels sells them in individual sheets. You can also use the 40% off coupons at Michaels. I call it craft mesh...lol

Awesome! I'm going to go get some today and (hopefully) finish up my new pools :)

However, I'm curious to know if anyone thinks I should add steps and not just use mesh for them to climb in and out with..? Image

That looks great! I use the craft mesh on one side and it gets used repeatedly. I zip tied mine in. I'll see if I can find a picture

That looks really cool! I didn't even think about putting mesh between the two as a sort of bridge (the actual bridge is neat too :)) do you think the same aquarium safe silicone adhesive would work instead of zip ties? I might end up using both either way lol but wanted to ask.
