Unsuccessful Molt, large crab (pictures)

Post by lovemycrabbies » Wed May 31, 2017 10:14 am

Sadly I lost one of my largest crabs to a molt yesterday. I was gone for memorial weekend and all seemed well when I left, but when I got home last night he had very recently passed. His exo was not completely eaten and he was still in his shell. I apologize in advance if this upsets anyone, but I am a bio major and very curious and thought pictures of his abdomen could be beneficial for learning purposes, so attached below are some photos I took. Feel free to use them if you need, but please give credit. (If this is in the wrong place, please let me know and I will move or delete it!).

I'm sorry for your loss!

I can't see the images, unfortunately.

So sorry you lost your crab! That's really hard. :(

Did you try using the Tapatalk app to upload pictures? That usually works well.

Are you able to see the pictures now? They are visible online, but I don't know if they are not showing up through the app maybe? Please let me know.

I tried using Google Chrome on my computer and through my phone using Safari, and through my phone using the Tapatalk app. Sorry, no luck with any of those. I still can't see them. :(

Sorry for your loss. That is really unfortunate. I was unable to see your post on both Tapatalk and on the computer.

Posting the pictures was a good idea. Hopefully they can be made to appear.

So sorry for the loss!!
But pictures always help other future crabbers who may go through similar situations. Hopefully they can be made to appear.

Pics still not working. And your ability to transform your loss into a teaching tool will help others. Your crabby didnt die in vain. He's side walking on Rainbow Bridge now.
