OMG... Congrats! New tanks are so exciting!

(And I had no idea that you didn't have crabs, lol!)

Alright, here's the semi final product! I am done for now, all I need is more shells (on their way) and to hook up the bubblers. We're letting the heat even out also. I'm going to reach out to a couple of Craigslist ads this week. Hopefully crabs by Sunday!

Looks really good!!! There are definitely a few things that I would like to recommend to you though
1) the fish net should be spread out. Having it like you do would allow a hermit crab to get tangled in it very easily.
2) I would get your Acurite digital gauge off of the substrate. The hermits will knock it over, and if it gets substrate into the back of it, it will malfunction.
3) I also recommend hanging the modified hamster wheel upside down on the back, front or side of the tank. This will prevent hermits from going under the wheel you should also provide a step up for them like a rock or something

The net looks like it's clumped together, but it's not. I specially designed it with a thicker cord and knots close together. It is "spread out"

Thank you! My husband (who generally not handy at all) helped me make the modified hamster wheel upon your glowing recommendation. He felt very empowered using his drill which he doesn't get to use very often. :)
