Crabitat!
Crabitat!
Hi everyone! I was hoping for some feedback on my crabitat! I'm on a super tight budget, but I still want to make sure my little ones have everything they need! They're 2 small/medium pp's! Eventually I plan on getting a UTH, but I can't afford one yet. Luckily it's summer and my temp/humidity is staying pretty consistent with the light I've got! Here's everything I have for them!
Play sand/EE mix
Fresh and salt pools they can submerge in
Popsicle stick hide
Driftwood
Moss pit
Shell shop
Climbing net
Temp/humidity gauges (eventually I'll upgrade to digital, I just can't yet)
Climbing vines
Cholla wood
Play sand/EE mix
Fresh and salt pools they can submerge in
Popsicle stick hide
Driftwood
Moss pit
Shell shop
Climbing net
Temp/humidity gauges (eventually I'll upgrade to digital, I just can't yet)
Climbing vines
Cholla wood

I forgot to mention I also feed them fresh fruits, shrimp, vegetables, and baby food!nwilk688 wrote:Hi everyone! I was hoping for some feedback on my crabitat! I've read that Popsicle sticks probably aren't a good idea...I can't remember why or what thread I saw it in, so hopefully someone more experienced can help?

Re: Crabitat!
It depends on what the popsicle sticks are made from. They also have a tendency to mold in the high humidity.

Re: Crabitat!
Looks like a very good start! I'd definitely suggest getting the digital soon (a lot of crabbers use the indoor digital humidity and temperature Accurite one from Walmart, less than $10 USD).nwilk688 wrote:Thanks for the information!!!wodesorel wrote:It depends on what the popsicle sticks are made from.
