I just got two new crabs for my one lonely crab, but one won't come out of it's shell. Sometimes it pokes it's head out and it looks around, but that's it.
I haven't been trying to force it out, I'm just a bit worried about him.

He's probably just shy and nervous about his new surroundings. I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you dip the new crabs in the freshwater of your crabitat so they don't smell like intruders?
The crab is just probably nervous. Just give it time to get used to its new environment.

The scared one is actually one of the new ones, but I have dipped them both in the fresh water bowl, the scared crab actually got up and walked into it after I dipped him in it, but when I walked back in the room he went back into his shell after standing around for awhile

I know, he's adorable!
Right now he's made a little hole for himself in the sand, destressing I guess?

Probably! There's a saying that says "a watched pot never boils", and I think the same for Hermit Crabs! [WHITE SMILING FACE]

My scared crab, who's name is now Shelldon, has gone missing, I suspect he's under the sand now, but it's a little concerning, is he trying to molt?

Please don't worry! He is destressing and may molt. I encourage you to read the molting thread to get a better idea of the molting process.

It's so easy to worry about crabs! As long as your tank specs are on point- don't worry, be happy!
