Staying in the moss pit

Is there anything to worry about if he's been in the moss pit for a couple of days? Not coming out to eat.

They do that!

There is also a very good chance that he is coming down in the middle of the night when no one is around to eat and then going back to the same exact spot so it looks like he never left. I am usually up nights and sleep days and have seen mine do this often.

Eating moss isn't too bad...

It isn't REALLY insulting until you literally cook them diner and then watch them eat sand three inches away from the feast you've prepared.

I have a hermit that lives in the moss pit and only comes out at night. She's very shy, but I do catch her out at night occasionally.

I'm jealous of you, actually!

I built two moss pits yesterday and I think I had 1 E discover it... Sigh.. Hopefully they'll find it soon!

They're really a practice in patience. Which I'm not good at. I'm still waiting for them to discover the hamster wheel. And I did actually catch Stryper climbing in (or out) of the moss pit.

I recently got two large pieces of Cholla wood and after about two weeks, one of my crabs is finally perched on one! They do seem to be slow at discovering various elements in their environment!
