It has to be done via a third party site (like tumblr, facebook, instagram, etc.)

If you're not using tappatalk:

You usually have to open the picture in its own window, copy the url, and stick said url between the img code (the button above the text box that says, "img" inserts this).

I'm not so sure of tappatalk.

Here's a link that explains it better:

I feel so horrible! :crybaby: I wish so bad that I hadnt dug them up. I didnt know any better. I cant stop crying. Im pretty sure he's dead and its my fault. I really tried to research them, but I never saw anywhere that its normal for them to be underground for months.

They are not sent home with proper information, and the moment you realized there was something wrong you went for help. That is a good owner in my book! Please don't feel horrible, there is a learning curve with hermits and I am very sorry that you got one of the worst possible things to happen. It only gets better from here!!

He may be dead, or he may just be stuck, or in a molting stupor. He is definitely in need of getting that old exo of to have a chance. All of the darker hard part of their body sloughs off forward in one piece when they do it, including their eyes and mouthparts. It looks like an exact replica of them. We used to have photos of a crab surface molting from an old member, but one of the largest photo hosting companies removed all shared images last year and those photos went with it. I don't have anything here to show you, I am not sure if anyone does.

I strongly agree with wode - you're doing your best with an animal that is widely misunderstood. Try not to feel too badly. It's clear that you care very much about your pets.

I didnt want to let it go without knowing i did everything i possibly could do to help him, so I used a pair of tweezers and was being SUPER gentle breaking tiny bits off and wiggling pieces loose and I got all of the exoskeleton except his eye stalks, and face area. 4 legs came off in the process, but i kept telling myself. "Omgosh!!! omygosh!! ...Its ok, its ok.... next molt they will regenerate... i read that".
:( there is no movement from him at all, and I dont know what the "death smell" is... but he is smelling fishy.

Thank you both so much for all your help, and for being so nice. These are my two favorite pictures of Sheldon from happier times.
I'm going to leave him in his little iso tank until there's absolutely no question that he's gone, and if he does suprise me and recover I will post an update here.

Crush the exo, mix it with raw honey and put that on the end of a qtip. Stick the qtip in the sand by it's mouth parts.

You will have to hand feed it once it hardens up to nurse it back to health.

I've seen one make it through a molt after losing all limbs. It was accidentally boiled in a batch of shells.
