Can vouch for it working. Still responsible for cleaning rest of said house, tho. :/
Oh I love housework! To an extent. Lol. I do most of it, but once I need a break he knows to get his butt to washing dishes. Thankfully he does all the water changes in the aquariums, and helps me set up tanks when I need.
Sometimes, when they're not annoying, they're alright to have around ImageImage

You will upgrade, but it will never be enough.

ImageImage if this isn't the truest thing I've ever read on this forum.

I have a little 20 gal, and when I bought my 55 I thought "oh my gosh I'll never fill this huge tank!" And now that I'm actually placing things in and adding stuff I'm thinking "umm, I need more room... "
My boyfriend wouldn't even awknoledge that statement. ImageImageImage

I mentioned a crab room to my husband. He didn't acknowledge that either.

I just bought a house with my fiance and asked if I could set up a couple more tanks.....I too was ignored

Maybe we should just quit asking. Isn't there an old saying "ask forgiveness later" Image

That's the thing. I don't ask. I just do. :hlol: I have always loved animals. My husband knew this when we first got together 23 years ago. He knew what he was getting.
Truly blessed to have incredible creatures, wonderful friends and my amazing family in my life!! I'm very thankful & grateful for all of them! www.thehealthyhermit.com

You have to perfect the puppy-dog-eye look! 99% of the time I am joking about 'can I bring it home' and he knows it. That 1% I'm serious, I must have that look on my face because he agrees without even arguing. I get an eyebrow raise, but he gives in.

It has gotten to the point that my fiance has replaced my middle name with "hermie" when he yells at me with my full name

Exactly. That's how we started with hermit crabs. My puppy dog eyes have failed me for puppies, kittens, and a very expensive snake. But we were visiting my adopted parents in Biloxi and the minute I said "I want this hermit crab" he grabbed all the supplies and swiped the card. Image
And oh, how I knew nothing back then!
