Room Sprays

Would spraying essential oils in the same room as the crabitat hurt the crabs?
I wonder because my room is open to the hallway, and my mom frequently likes to freshen the air with spray that contains clove oil.
My tank is fully covered but has an air pump.

There have been cases of dogs reacting badly to oil diffusers in homes, so I would imagine it has the potential to harm crabbies as well??

I would be very careful about that if you can, especially clove oil. It is an insect repellant so odds are it is very irritating ro the hermies.

Try to close the door when the hallway is sprayed until it all settles, maybe?

Okay, I will need to be really careful when entering my room when oil is sprayed.
I am not one for using air fresheners, but sometimes I cannot stop the people who use them.

My crab tank is in the corner of my living room but i light a candle on the other end of the room and so far i haven't noticed it bothering the crabs?
