it's like they KNOW...

Post by ciaraalston » Tue Oct 02, 2018 1:57 am

I'm setting up the totes this weekend. It won't take me long to get it together, just soaking the EE then adding the sand. I'll be moving their branches and toys from the 55 to the totes, so basically a few hours and i'm done.
Wouldn't you know those goobers ALL went under this week. ALL of them....

Of COURSE they did! I’m not embarking on a new tat but since 3 have been up, I was hoping the 4th would also make an appearance soon so have been prepping a holding tank so I can add more substrate to the existing and make some changes. lol and behold....only one has been around the past 3 nights and he was shell shopping....he’d better not be prepping to go down because if he is it will be a LONG time...he’s my biggest and hasn’t molted with me yet. Lovely!

We really do need a support thread for molting/digging crabs and waiting haha!! My big guy did not end up changing shells and went back to *his* spot in the tat where he burrows for the daytime...crossing my fingers for the others. 1, I’m guessing, if nothing bad happened, should show itself soon...it’s been since early August. The other 2 recently molted but 1 of them is a small one so she could be down again....good grief! :hlol:

You will probably never have them all up at once. Maybe move them over as you see them.

Hilariously accurate! All 6 of mine went down at a time when I had purchased another tank and was ready to switch them. I was able to locate several that were just digging around fo fun and coming up every couple of hours, but one stayed down for about a month before surfacing!

Incredibly blessed to have six healthy crabbies; 4 PP's and 2 E's. Love every minute of their cute lil' antics!
