So I have an little round terrarium within my tank filled with moss. Thanos loves it and is basically always there. But now he is currently pushing all the moss out and is almost upside down in it. He is spreadeagled in there, like all his limbs are open. It is good to see him active after Das died this morning.

My crabs are currently loving their new tank, and enjoying finding out where they like to hide/sleep.

So far Little P has claimed the moss pit as his domain during his day time rest.
Shy Guy likes to hide on top/behind one of the rocks I have stacked to make a natural cave.
And Monkey has claimed the stick bridge that sits in front of the UTH.
I have owned Hermit Crabs for 2 Years

I have 1 E named Monkey and 2 PP named Shy Guy and Little P

I also own 1 PP named Dory who stays in my classroom

My guy has been hanging halfway into the saltwater pool all day. I think he is on the move now.

mine likes to leave his shell halfway in the water dish. he never seems to drink it, though...

I agree. you should get calypso a new freind. BTW, i am a huge pirates of the carrabian fan, so i love the name!
Thanks! I'm definitely going to get Calypso a new friend or two. I wanted to wait and make sure Calypso was good and healthy (after Stitch died). I've talked with one person about possibly adopting their crab after it successfully molts. Otherwise I'll try to find the most humane place offering hermit crabs near me.

In mid Jan, I had only 1/5 crabs buried. I added two new small crabs at the beginning of Feb and they buried within a week along with one of my others (fortunately, not before switching into natural shells). So until a couple days ago, I had 4/7 crabs down! Very quiet in the 'tat. But I am very happy, because on Tuesday, the first of my burrowers finally surfaced. He is beautifully, freshly molted! My first molter in the new tank(circa October), so I must be getting something right. Now waiting for the remaining 3 to pull through and pop up, especially my little newbies!

I spent 5 days thinking one of my crabs was in the coconut hut and was scared because he hadn't moved at all. Today he turned up in a different spot in the tank. Apparently I had spent 5 days thinking the empty similar colored shell was him. I have no clue where he actually was.
