Shell condition

My shipment from Naples finally arrived, and boy was the shipping expensive. I bought bigger sizes than I needed to justify the shipping. I noticed that the gold polished shell has a crack on the surface and I feel it when I run my nail over it. The tapestry looks like a part of the shell was filled in, and part of the outer at the top tip looks chipped. Are these still usable?

I'm sure if there are any cracks Naples will replace them.

Contact Naples. They will make it right. My husband's last shipment had a few broken shells and they replaced them. If you have safety concerns for the crabs, don't use them.

The marks on the Tapestry are from concretions that form on the shell while the snail is alive. When the shell is polished, the white calcium growths will keep filling any chips or gaps in the shell.
