So I've been debating on putting in some plants for the hermit crabs to possibly climb on. I have a 40 gallon breeder tank. What plants would be safe for them, if any?
I know you can plant quinoa and chia seeds but again. I'm looking for climbing plants.
Can you put real plants in the habitat?

@aussieJJDude has written a whole bunch of things on plants. The simple answer to your question is yes; here's the link to the topic that contains all the info: http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... 9&t=120839

Re: Can you put real plants in the habitat?
Keep in mind, any plant you put in there - its likely to be destroyed/eaten. I thought I had a good track record with my hoya, but recently came back from my holiday to find it eaten to a stump. some of the plants I have, that I thought my crabs will destroy (broms) are still kicking for now.
In saying, if you want climbing plants. Have had great success in pothos and arrowhead vine. Would reccomend them, since they are rather robust, and once established, grow pretty quickly.
Thanks @crabby7crabber & @Motörcrab for the kind words. The guide is no where close to being complete, as I'm missing a few important topics I wish to cover - they hopefully should be added when I have the chance to write it up and get it in somewhat of a legible tangle of words.
