Believe me, there are plenty of people at work who think I'm half crazy when I'm watching them on camera lol. Let alone my partner and family 😂. Definitely an impulse buy on vacation that turned into something that I had no idea I'd be getting into!
... i just looked up cameras so i can keep an eye on them/ make sure they're doing ok overnight 😂

This is what I'm using... may have been this thread, but posted my crabs completely dissapear from 5AM-6PM. They slowly start moving around 6PM then just party all night.

Last night I cleaned and added shells and sprayed the top layer of sand. They were super active all night. And just watching the videos of crazy shell swaps and antics makes it completely worth it. Plus I can monitor them for any aggression and fix things as this thread is clearly an example of.

Anyway, pretty sure most of us use Wyze. It's inexpensive and has great night vision esp for the price. The app works well and finally found a reason to use the audio when my crab was trying to rock the other out of shell despite so many other comparable and different options.

Overall, my crabbing would kinda be really boring and, honestly, don't think it would be all that rewarding without the camera. Figured I'd post a link to it from Amazon...

A wyze cam is definitely on my want list. Can we hang them in the tank?

Btw I have a lot of success using command velcro, the one for picture hanging. I hear hooks don't do well.

I put my cameras in the tank. I found it difficult to position the wyze cam. But I use now the 360 Smart camera. Much easier to postion.ImageImage

How is the 360 camera compared to the usual? I remembered a Wyze 360 when I purchased the original Wyze Cam, but just did a quick search on Amazon and not seeing it.

I have my Wyze Cam set up outside of the tank although I did mess around with inside, but settled on looking in towards where the water containers are and can see most things. Actually have things set in some cases as they are in the tank to not block the camera view lol.

I would think that the 360 would be great inside the tank with minimal issues unless I'm missing something. Maybe concern RE the cord getting chewed on?

If you have a chance, I would love to hear your thoughts on the 360 camera you have and if you would even go back to just a straight view I guess. I'm thinking, when I do upgrade soon, that I'll be purchasing a 360 camera now to set up in the crabitat.

The 360 isn't a pan cam. I do have the wyze pan cam for my living room, dining room. The thing I prefer about the 360 is it's not a square that can just tip a little on an angle. The 360 can be turned and tipped on almost any angle. It's just a little more expensive than the wyze. I know others have their camera outside the tank. I just figure it's hard to see through the condensation. Oh, and there has been no chewing or clawing on the wire.

Thanks! Think I just saw "360" last night and thought it was a pan cam. Appreciate your thoughts though. Something to look into when I upgrade. 😎
