I would say the big guys average maybe golf ball size. The shell openings are around 3/4" at most. The babies could easily climb inside those shells!

It's called crafting mesh or plastic canvas. It's found in arts and craft stores, sometimes at Wal Mart too.

I did a good bit of searching online. You generally need to buy a pack of 10 or 12 sheets. It runs about $0.70 a sheet then the shipping is almost as much as the sheets. Buying online is great because they have a ton of colors. I think we have like 13 different colors.

Here are some photos of their check in a few months back. They are still tiny and can tuck waaaay into their shells. If you check the original photos you can see how much they have grown in 10 months with us.

One of they was super fiesty while holding him. He kept trying to pinch me but my finger are too tough for him to pinch. He did get xenocrab though! Lol!
