Sizing my crab??

Hello!

I'm interested to know the size of my Dobby (purple pincher?). I've had a look at the size guide and various ways of measuring but I wondered if there's an easier way of doing it that's less invasive than picking him up and measuring the leg distance etc? He's quite a timid crab so doesn't like being handled.

Also, is it possible to age a crab? Just a guess-timate age?
