Not sure what pellets you're using, but many foods marketed for hermits aren't great for them. Crabbies can eat a lot of the things we eat. Here is the safe food list:

I use the crushed oyster shells from hermit crab patch.

Thanks! I put it in my iso tank to stay warm and grow and forgot about it for about a week. When I remembered it had poofed up nicely lol!
