Tupperware Tank

Post by Odi » Fri Oct 09, 2020 9:12 pm

Can you use a large Tupperware bin as a cheap tank? I was thinking of drilling a few small holes in the top for ventilation and air tube for bubbler pools. Then, I wanted to attach craft mesh to the top to hang decor and climbing toys. My crabbies are buried right now, so I’ll be waiting until they reappear to make the move. Thanks! :?:

I have no idea how large actual name brand Tupperware containers are. But there are people who have very successfully used large totes/ tubs/ bins for crabitats. If you use the 'search' you should be able to find a tutorial on this site.

Yes, that’s what I meant. A tote. I couldn’t find any tutorial on “tanks”. Do you know what section it may be listed?

They are usable, but a glass terrarium is always better for several reasons.

Many people use plastic totes. Not sure what your 'several reasons' are, but there are pros and cons to any enclosure.

Here's the tutorial thread, it is from a few years ago and there is lots of discussion. Sorry it was late and I was lazy last night, otherwise I should have looked it up for you!
If you have any questions, be sure to ask. I don't use a tote, but I know there are admins/ mods who do.
