Needing Small Shells

Post by Promethean » Thu Nov 12, 2020 3:06 pm

Contrary to most other posts in this section, I actually need small shells. I just recently got these guys and they are just barely smaller than a quarter, and finding any shells for them is a pain. One of them in particular is wearing one of those really long and pointy shells, which seems to impede his movement quite a bit. Any ideas on where I can find any tiny shells?

Have you looked at places like Naples Sea Shells or Richard's Shells?

I second Naples. They have green and silver turbos in 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", and 3/4" for a decent price. They have others that are 7/8" too.

I haven't heard of them. I'll check it out asap. This community truly is the best asset for crabbers!

I have a bunch of smaller shells that I just don’t need...my guys are all bigger. What sizes/kinds you thinking? I’d be happy to take some pics and send some your way, just cover the shipping...? Image

I also have some teeny shell from when my crabs were smaller. Let me know if you still need some. Also, make sure to stock up on medium shells too. When their that size the grow fast.
