Help setting up pool/bubbler

Post by Oksness » Sun Jan 03, 2021 8:59 pm

I’m new and in the process of setting up my tank. I have been reading about how important it is to offer a bubbler pool for them to swim or submerge in. Does anyone have a good tutorial or video on how to do this, specs, and/or products to buy to set one up? I watched Courtney’s video on swimming crabs and the importance of water chemistry on YouTube but she didn’t really get into the specifics of the pool itself, need the basics to get started. Thankyou!!

Unless you really want the hassle of bubblers, they aren't 100% necessary. A salt pool deep enough to submerge is however. Just change the water every couple of days. I have a deeper salt pool and a shallower fresh pool. In the 3 years I've had my 2 guys I've never seen them actually get in the fresh water. They just dip some out. They do get in the salt water regularly.

Do check out viewtopic.php?f=127&t=113691 and if you still need a more in depth tutorial, 'Hermits Hounds and Horses' has one up on YouTube. Hope this helps!
