My New Buddy

Meet my new little buddy! I got her from a nice lady in MD today (pretty sure it's a she when I checked, but she squiggled around a lot). Her original name was Nermit the hermit. But since it's a she, I think I might name her Miss. Piggy. Nermit reminds me of Kermit (the frog), and Kermit reminds me of Miss Piggy lol.

I put a natural shell right next to where I left her in the tank hoping she'd change out of the painted one. I gave her about an hour alone, and she moved into that shell, yay!

Aww, look at her! She’s so pretty! I love the thought process for her name, lol. My sister and her kids named theirs Mr. Kermit Krabs...but they call him Kermie (rhymes with hermie) and I always loved it!

Haha thanks! I think it's an appropriate name, since she's been sitting in the greensand and food dishes all day!

Mr. Kermit Krabs, that's cute! And Miss. Piggy always calls Kermit Kermie, so Kermie the Hermie is perfect lol!

Except for 3 of my larger shells from Etsy, I got them all from Naples. But it's weird, I noticed a little hole in the shell Miss. Piggy is in, and hole in a pearlized shell in my other tank. Maybe Naples is polishing/grinding them too much and making them week in some spots. I've never had their shells do that before. So weird!
