how long is too long?

Post by lydia15 » Sun Jan 02, 2022 3:31 pm

I had a crab, Ace, pass away post molt about 3 days ago and I have another crab, Robert, currently molting. I had dug Robert up weeks ago out of concern for him being alive but he quickly reburied himself. Is there a point at which digging for him to check on him is okay? I am a naturally worrisome person and with Ace recently passing, I am concerned.

At least four months, if not more. Digging up a crab can have very bad consequences. If he's dead underground, digging gets you nowhere.
